To insert models, images, and text select file then insert. to work with the sketch up model select file then send out to layout in sketch up. To select the transforming images and objects shift click an object. To duplicate objects select the object then choose edit then duplicate.To use the layout tools to draw use the axis as reference lines. To set shapes and text styles choose file then insert.

The layout interface is very similar to the Sketch Up. To work with files it is also similar to the way sketch up works. To configure the document with the correlating dialogue box just choose file then document setup. Printing a current document just click the print button when the document you want to print is selected. To add pages and navigating the view choose pages then add pages. To navigate the view the tools that you can use are the pan, zoom, zoom in, zoom out, actual size, zoom to fit, full screen. To customize the interface toolbar and shortcuts choose view then toolbars then customize. To get help with the help menu choose help then layout help.

To access the shadow settings panel choose window then shadows. To enable and disable shadows just select or deselect the shadow box in the shadow option box. To set shadow time and date move the time slider and you can just select the date in the shadow setting panel. To change light and shadow intensity just move the light slider in the shadow setting panel. To control which objects cast and receive shadows select with the entity info dialogue box.

To add fog to a scene choose window then fog. To change fog distance and color just move the distance slider in the fog panel and to change color just change the color and deselect the background color option. To add and manipulate a section plane just select the object and use the transform tool. To reverse the section just right click on the arrow that point to the object. To extract a section slice right click the cross section of the object. To export a section slice select the slice and then choose file then export then section slice.

To learn the style builder interface it is similar to other sketch up applications in that it uses menus, panels, and windows. To load sample strokes just load templets from the strokes panel. To define style settings just click the settings tab. To use the style preview window just go to preview then change model. To set preferences just select edit then preferences.

To use the style browser open it by selecting window then styles and select the style you want. To add styles to a current scene just click on the thumbnail of the certain style you want to add to the current scene. To set style edge and face properties select the style edge and face property in the edit pane. To change background colors select the color in the background pane. To add and configure watermark images just click the add watermark button in the watermark pane. To max different styles together just drag the style you want and put in on top of the other style.

To use the material browser to select and organize materials by selecting tools then paint brush. To apply materials with the paint bucket tool select the paint bucket tool by choosing tools then paint bucket, choose the paint bucket icon , or press b. To create new materials with color, texture, and opacity select the create new material button. To control texture placement with the position texture tool by right clicking the object then apply it by choosing texture then position.
